Building Trades Responds To
False Accusations by Russ Bogh
In a press release, the State Building Trades today refuted an accusation by Senate Candidate Russ Bogh that a Building Trades' mailer opposing Bogh's state Senate campaign contained lies. Bogh is running in the Republican primary in the 37th Senate District in Riverside County. The statement by SBCTC President Bob Balgenorth is below, followed by the accusation made by Bogh.
Bob Balgenorth Statement:
"Russ Bogh's unhealthy desire to regain his lost political perks has clouded his judgment. Bogh asserts the facts listed in the State Building Trades flyer are lies.
"The flyer accurately lists expenditures Russ reported to the Secretary of State. Any citizen can easily check the facts for themselves by viewing his reports at the Secretary of State website. Anyone who is interested in the facts will discover the expenditures listed on the flyer are only the tip of the iceberg. Russ has reported many additional questionable expenditures, including golf outings and other perks.
"His statement also falsely claims that we are supporting his opponent Bill Emmerson. We have not taken a position on Emmerson and we don't intend to.
"Russ should own up to the facts before he completely destroys his credibility."
